Hi, I’m Tammy
I had always known...
I wanted to work with creators, inventors, and makers. Growing up, my father worked at a computer store, selling and fixing the latest desktop computers. When we finally got one ourselves, I couldn’t help but occupy all my time creating graphics in Paint Shop Pro, making .gifs, and creating my own fan page websites. And while I was never formally trained, I found myself pulled into design-forward hobbies like photography and crafting as I got older.
At the same time, I was drawn to study in left-brain disciplines. I loved finding the concrete answer to a problem. Since, there could only be one, right?
I started my career at the marriage of these two worlds, consulting on branding and innovation strategy at a design agency. I loved to see implications brought to life visually for consumers. And when I went in-home for the first time to speak with real consumers face-to-face, I saw the power of a single story—the richness of one individual’s context, struggles, hopes and desires. These stories have fueled my work ever since.
